On Tuesday 7th and Wenesday 8th November 2024, Luz Herrero Castilla from AIMEN Centro Tecnológico, our project coordinator, and our partners from UNIVPM presented EU PROJECT WATERUN at Ecomondo.
Luz gave an overview of the project during a joint session with StopUP on urban runoff management. This English-language session, attended by 50 people, covered the topics of clusters, synergies and interfaces with market players and property issues.
The second project presentation was given F. Fatone, M. Sgroi, L. De Simon, A. L. Eusebi of the Università Politecnica delle Marche and C. Carini, C.Bollettini, M. Tonelli of CIIP SpA.The presentation highlighted the importance of the goal of WATERUN project in the context of the proposal of revised UWWTD. Particularly, the draft tool for microbiological risk calculation (QMRA) from SWMM models was presented together with the results obtained from its application in municipality of Cupra Marittima (Italy) in order to assess the risk in the Adriatic Sea after the activation of Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO).
